RECORE curved flap discs are designed for grinding and blending fillet welds, T-joints, inside corners and other hard-to-reach areas. The abrasive flaps extend around the disc edge to improve contact on curved and recessed surfaces while providing controlled stock removal and a consistent finish.

Materials and Abrasive Options
Select the abrasive grain according to the workpiece and required performance:
- Aluminum oxide: economical grinding and finishing on general-purpose materials.
- Zirconia alumina: strong stock removal and reliable life on carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Ceramic grain: fast cutting and long life in demanding production applications.
For aluminum and other loading-sensitive materials, request an application-specific anti-loading formulation.
Mini Curved Flap Discs
Compact 2 in. and 3 in. curved flap discs are suitable for small components, narrow spaces, detailed deburring and localized blending. Plastic or nylon backing and multiple mounting systems are available.

Maximum operating speed must match the tested product specification and the RPM printed on the wheel label. Never exceed the marked maximum RPM.
5/8-11 Threaded Hub for the U.S. Market
The 5/8-11 UNC internal threaded hub mounts directly onto a compatible 5/8-11 angle-grinder spindle. It offers fast installation and eliminates the need for a separate retaining nut. Always verify thread compatibility, wheel diameter and machine speed before use.
Recommended Grit Selection
- P36–P40: aggressive weld removal, heavy deburring and stock removal.
- P60: general grinding, weld blending and intermediate finishing.
- P80–P120: lighter blending, surface refinement and finishing.
